Special General Election for CD 1

The election for Oregon's 1st Congressional District takes place January 31, 2012. Ballots will be mailed 14 to 18 days before election day. Oregon absentee ballots to overseas and military voters will be mailed December 17.

oregon electionsAny United States citizen who is 18 years of age and a resident of Oregon is eligible to register to vote. You must register at least 20 days prior to an election in order to vote. You can get voter registration cards at numerous locations including U.S. Post Offices, at most city or county clerk's offices, and at many bank branches.

multnomah county clerkYou can register to vote at your county clerk or county elections office, at designated DMV offices, at the Oregon Secretary of State Office, 141 State Capitol, Salem, and at designated voter registration agencies.

For questions about voter registration, ballot delivery and return, marking the ballot, requesting a replacement ballot, absentee ballots, signature requirements, the voters" pamphlet, when and where to vote, and other questions about elections and voting, call the toll-free voter information line at 1-866-ORE-VOTE (1-866-673-8683).
